One of our project sites is Songhai Initiative in Chamen. Our team recently toured the poultry farm to have first-hand information about the process involved in keeping a lucrative poultry business intact.

The Gambia Songhai Initiative Project is designed to tackle the growing youth unemployment and increasing poverty among rural populations of The Gambia. It is also developed against the growing need of transforming the agricultural sector into a productive, efficient, sustainable and remunerative enterprise, especially amongst youth.

As communicated to you earlier, one of the objectives of the regional component of the West Africa Competitiveness Project (WACOMP) is to facilitate linkages between ECOWAS/UEMOA suppliers from the selected regional value chains (textile & garments, mango, cassava, and ICT) and regional/international buyers.

ECOWAS Commission Handed Over Computer Equipment To NDMA

The Directorate of Regional Integration at the Ministry of Trade on Wednesday 16th December, 2020 handed over a computer equipment to National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA). The presentation was held at the Trade Ministry Complex in Banjul.

The delivery of the computer Equipment to ECOWAS Member States is earmarked for a “Building Disaster Resilience to Natural Hazards Sub-Saharan African Countries and Communities Programme.”
